Ivorian govt looks to IMF to help fund 2017 budget

Cote d'Ivoire's government says it's seeking out more assistance from the IMF to support its 2017 budget, as falling cocoa prices constrain the country's finances. Government officials say they plan to issue a request to representatives of the IMF who will be visiting the West African nation until the first week of April. The IMF team is in the country to review Cote d'Ivoire's 660 million dollar three-year extended credit facility agreement. Cocoa futures have slumped by about a third since reaching a six-year high in July.
