We are at 48 West 38th Street, where we take a ride in one of two old Otis freight elevators. The elevator we enter has its original call buzzer, the original scissors gate, and the original sliding exterior door. We take a ride up to the top, which is the 12th floor. At the top, we get out for a second, and then head back down. Notice the frosted glass windows in the elevator shaft, which gives light to the entire shaft. The two elevators are alike in style and design. They have a 2500 pound capacity and variable speeds. I am unsure of the FPM, though.
