Chandrika Ganesen Chandrika Ganesen moved from relationship to relationship always hoping that she would find ultimate love and fulfillment. Every time she would move on with the expectation that maybe next time she will meet someone better. But her last break up was tough. Her heart was tender and soon she slipped into depression. She was even at risk of losing her job. "It began to affect me. How could I move on? At least 12 hours a day I meet this person at work. And it began to affect my work. I couldn't give a performance. I would come home and also cry all the time. How can I get out of this... what's the solution," says Chandrika. One day while hanging out at her flat, she saw her Christian roommate reading a Bible. Curious Chandrika got a Bible and began to read too. Her friend had a cool lifestyle, any problem she faces resolves through prayer and when she read the bible she had the satisfaction and she also wanted the same satisfaction and solution to her life problems. Then one day she and her friend met one lady in a coffee shop. She mostly listened while her friend and the woman spoke about Jesus. The conversation continued beyond a cup of coffee. After that they went to the lady's house. There she was praying for her friend. And Chandrika was just listening whatever they were talking about Jesus. After sometime she began to talk to her. She didn't know anything about her life but she told her that God's love can heal her. She told her that only Jesus can give her a complete love and satisfaction. The words this woman spoke were just what Chandrika Ganesen needed to hear. One day the lady asked her if she wanted to give her life to Jesus. She responded to that call because meanwhile the faith in her heart grew. Then she prayed the salvation prayer with that lady. After that prayer she knew that Jesus has come into her life and she had the confidence that Jesus is not going to leave her. And then without realizing it, she began to heal from her past. The first change she experienced is healing from all the broken relationships. As she learnt to hear God's voice she had a completely new outlook in her life. Chandrika Ganesen says, "When I was going through depression I had got into drinking habit but Jesus took away that drinking temptation from me. He taught me that if you love the lord then obeying his commandment won't be difficult for you." She adds, "I have not seen him but I have felt him. His love can heal wounds. No matter what it is - bleeding wound or wound of a heart - no one knows better than him whatever goes on in my heart and that's what he did he healed all my hurts. And he changed me." In Jesus Chandrika found a personal, loving and caring relationship she had always looked for. She realized that only God could fill those deep longings she had.
