15 girls from Kaloleni constituency in Kilifi county are pregnant. The girls all from needy backgrounds joined national schools this year after they received full sponsorship from Kaloleni CDF. Kaloleni's Deputy county commissioner Paul Rotich, blames the early pregnancies ‘disco matanga’. Rotich, who was speaking at Gogo Raruwe primary school during a public baraza said the national and county government have banned disco matanga's because of the negative effects on the education sector and society at large.
