A5216487 OJ is a mellow 8-year-old brown, brindle and white neutered male Pit Bull who was surrendered to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 6th because his owners could not afford to take care of him. Weighing 58 lbs, OJ is a couch potato who will be content to hang out at your side or your feet and enjoy a quiet life. Daily walks will be a nice change of pace since he’s good on leash and curious about what’s going on. OJ will be up for a little adventure now and then, but mostly this chill guy will enjoy hanging out at home. He is really handsome and looks younger than his 8 years with his sweet face. OJ’s left eye is damaged (we’re told it’s a birth defect rather than an injury) and he doesn’t like to be approached or surprised on his left side. For that reason he’s recommended only with calm dogs as companions and older kids who will respect his needs. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
