The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on Wednesday met in Istanbul. They discussed last week's announcement by the U.S. recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The organisation has declared East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine in retaliation. Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, called for the meeting, while also condemning Israel.
