Swollen abdomen. Ate and drank a lot. Exploratory surgery was need as there was an abdominal tumour seen in the X-rays. There was a large liver tumour but earlier this dog had a big breast tumour removed by another vet. The other vet did not send the breast tumour for histology. It was large and could be malignant. The tumours from the breast could have spread to the liver. The dog recovered from the liver tumour removal surgery. X-rays cannot determine the type of tumour, whether liver or spleen. In the final diagnosis, exploratory laparotomy showed the liver was filled with tumours.
