Old 1970's recipe for Spanish Rice that I made when I was a kid. I used to have this with a slice of bread and canned corn for a complete meal. See description for full recipe. Ingredients: 1 Tablespoon olive oil 1 cup chopped onion 1 cup chopped green bell pepper 1/2 pound ground beef 1 teaspoon salt 1 Tablespoon butter 1 cup long grain rice 1 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 2 cups water 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce 8 ounce can tomato sauce Brown onions, green bell pepper and ground beef together. Add your rice, salt, butter and other seasonings, stirring to coat rice with butter. Add your 2 cups water, Worcestershire Sauce, and tomato sauce. Cover and gently simmer for 25 to 35 minutes. I cooked mine for 30 minutes and it was slightly overcooked. Music from YouTube Audio Song used.... Fur Elise by Beethoven Thank you for watching!
