by John Madewell A man was found dead last night inside a burning mobile home on Hensley Road in Murray County, Georgia.Investigators say it's too soon to determine what killed Chris Wright, but we've learned much more about his life.Sheriff Gary Langford said a firefighter noticed trauma to the Wright's head, but investigators are still trying to pinpoint the cause of death. And Wright was a man well liked in his community. I've lost a good friend, Gene Gilreath said as he dropped by the burned mobile home.Gilreath wanted to pay his respects to his co-worker and good friend. He wasn't at work on Monday and Tuesday. We had a project to do today and I tried to call him last night and got voice mail and again this morning, Gilreath said.Investigators spent the morning and afternoon sifting through the charred debris. They suspect the fire started at one end of the mobile home. But Wright was discovered on the opposite end in a bedroom and on the bed.Captain John Cherry of the Murray County Sheriff's Office said, And that's all right now that we can determine. The crime scene techs from the GBI are processing the scene to collect any evidence or whatever and give us a determination of what they think may have happened. The State Fire Marshal's Office is working to determine the cause of the fire while the GBI is probing into the cause of Wright's death. This afternoon, crime scene technicians collected several different items, including long guns that were in the same bedroom. Wright's landlord and investigators tell us he lived here alone. His close friend said he had two children: a son and daughter, but they weren't here last night. He worked at Challenger Industries in Dalton, which makes synthetic turf. Gilreath said, We're all at Challenger, that work with him everyday, are just stunned. Because he just got a recent award on Friday for helping other people, kind of an outstanding award. And things were going up, he had a recent promotion. It's evident Wright left quite an impression on his friend. Just always did an outstanding job and just a top notch fella, Gilreath said. I shall miss him greatly.
