While still at CP26 in Valley Cottage on the Conrail River Line Subdivision, we get another pair of fine examples as to why ethanol trains have the potential to be really cool; foreign power. The first train we see is CSX Train K688, a southbound ethanol. K688 consists of SD70MAC 9442 in the Grinstein cream and green paint scheme with GEVO ES44DC 7495 trailing with a spacer car plus 80 ethanol tank cars. The other train we see is CSX Train K679, a northbound ethanol freight. This train immediately followed K688, as it was sitting in the siding at CP26. K679 consists of AC60CW 7310 and AC44CW 6240, which is still in its Bloody Nose Southern Pacific paint scheme, with a spacer car and 79 ethanol tank cars. Enjoy the sight of all of this rare oddball foreign power. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The videos were taken on February 15th, 2011.
