This one was quite tough, even more so the trash before.
I had some issues with him reseting over and over at different times (as you can see at the beginning). I believe the issue is with the Duskwatch Battle-Mages, their leash range is really short and it probably affects the other NPCs and makes them behave oddly when they try to reset. For this attempt I dealt with most battle mages except the ones in the same building, which resulted in him only reseting once.

Tactics:
During the boss, you dont have to move away from stuff because Last Defender got you covered. However make sure you kill the Felsworn Spellguards that spawn during the encounter, it is important since they stack up a damage taken debuff on you.

The trash you should deal with before boss are:

Duskwatch Sentinel (they stun).. however they summon a haste zone which is nice
Nighthold Protectors (they cast a silence)
Terrace Grove-Tenders (increases your damage taken).
Duskwatch Battle-Mage (they make boss behave oddly and reset)

also trash that you should kill in the same building are the chaos mages (these are a pain to kill, I had to pretty much kill one at a time, get feared, die, ress repeat). Also kill the dreadguards since they stack up a dot on you.

Make sure you do not kill other trash mobs that will be helpful for your Last Defender to stack up. A good group of adds to use are the withered right after Trilliax, also the Promenade Guard group at the stairs to the entrance of the inner city.
