Jacaranda hotel has been officially reopened after being declared cholera free. In an event attended by Health Cabinet secretary Cleopa Mailu and Minister of Tourism Najib Balala, the hotel management received certification after complying with the new food safety requirements. In Kisumu the county government has set up four cholera isolation centers after three people, including a prisoner, died from cholera outbreak.
