FOREST PARK, Ohio (WKRC) - The Winton Woods football team is on its way to the Division II state championship game.

Students, fans and neighbors celebrated at a sendoff ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Forest Park, Greenhills, and Springfield Township police and firefighters escorted the team to I-275.

The championship game is Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. in Canton. Winton Woods will take on Archbishop Hoban in Akron.

Winton Woods City Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday due to the game and travel time.
