I had 3 hamster patients in one day - a rare occurence at Toa Payoh Vets Hamster 1 The hamster's owner went to Sydney to study. Mum consulted me as this 33-month aged hamster is losing weight fast over the last 2 weeks. Urinary incontinence, overgrown lower front teeth, right lip commissure abscess (white in colour), subcutaneous tumours x 3 on abdomen, swollen abdomen. The hamster is much loved and the least isoflurane gas anaesthesia is done to check on the mouth, clip the overgrown lower teeth and drain the abscess. The hamster went home to a happier mum.
