Products & Measurements for today’s Candle Box: Candle box: My candle is just under 3 inches in diameter and just under 6 inches long. I will make by candle box base 3 inches by 6 inches. My candle is just under 6 inches tall so I will need 6 inches for the length of the box, and just under 3 inches in diameter so I will need the width of the box to be 3 inches. That makes my cardstock for my box 6 inches + 3 inches + 3 inches, or 12 inches by 9 inches to accommodate the diameter and length of my candle. In this case I will need a piece of paper that is 9 by 12 inches for my box. The box will be scored at 3 inches on all four sides. For my lid I will need 3 1/16 by 6 1/16inches to cover the box for a tight fitting lid. I would also like to have a 1 1/2 inch drop over the side on my lid. So I will need 3 1/16 inches to cover the box + 3 inches for the lid overhang, and 6 1/16 inches + 3 inches for the lid overhand or 9 1/16 inches by 6 1/16 inches. The box lid will be scored at 1 1/2 inches on all four sides. Box 9 1/4 inches square, Lid 5 5/16 inches square
