There are no short cuts when you are a musician looking for work, this is not the X Factor, this is about learning and working hard, having high standards and simply being Amazing. 

As strategies go, the best of the lot is to be better than the competition. I meet too many musicians who are looking for strategies to be successful however it feels like many of you are looking to cut corners. If you are looking for a lottery then the music industry is not the right place. 

Being the best at what you do is the start before the strategies begin and the best news is being amazing is just about more hard graft... Having lessons, building confidence and experience over a period of time, playing the long term game as you strive to be the best while you then decide on what strategy will suit your end goal.

Stop trying to 'avoid the amazing' and instead 'embrace the amazing'. Be the best and your career will fall into place!
