BUTLER COUNTY, Oho (WKRC) - Many areas are seeing freezing rain or sleet or a combination of the two. That is the case in Butler County.

Drivers are seeing some slush in less traveled lanes or roads. While the highways are in pretty good shape, drivers do need to be careful. 

The National Weather Service sent up a weather balloon and found that between four to six-thousand feet in the area, the temperatures are above freezing. Snow is melting into rain before it hits the ground. Pavement temperatures are still low after our 13 consecutive days with temperatures below zero.

There is a layer of ice on unsalted sidewalks.
