Elderly in Kajiado decry lack of government support

Most senior citizens in kajiado county say they have not been receiving money from the national government despite attaining the required age. People above 70 years are supposed to receive 2,000 shillings monthly. In Purko ward kajiado central most of the beneficiaries say the money is barely enough to cater for basic needs. Females are disadvantaged due to cultural practices. Local leaders are now urging the government to review the increment of the funds to the senior citizens.
