The female passenger of a pickup truck traveling Southbound on Interstate 15 reportedly accidentally shot herself in the arm Monday afternoon. The shooting occurred around 2:00 PM on the Southbound I-15 freeway near Hodges Road. The driver of the pickup truck called 911 and pulled off the freeway at Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley. Paramedics from Apple Valley Fire Protection District and AMR ambulance responded to treat the victim. The woman was transported by ground to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The incident is being investigated by California Highway Patrol Barstow station. The circumstance behind the shooting is not known.
