Volunteers give back to war vet and long-time Mt. Auburn resident

MT. AUBURN, Ohio (WKRC) - Volunteers helped out a veteran and long-time resident of Mt. Auburn on Saturday.

Samuel Jackson served in the Korean War.

On Saturday, workers served him by doing home repairs, like fixing the back deck.

The 88-year-old has lived in the same house since 1963 and the project was much appreciated.

"I love it, I think it's a beautiful thing," Jackson said. "I'm happy about it. All of it, you know."

Most of the volunteers were with Charter Communication's Spectrum Cable.

New recruits from the Cincinnati Police Department were also there.
