Ice cream is served at the domestic violence fundraiser by Montgomery County NAACP President Henry Hailstock, Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger, and Republican former Maryland Secretary of State Mary Kane. Proceeds, stuffed animals, and children's books will benefit children of domestic violence victims who receive services at the new Montgomery County Family Justice Center in Rockville, Maryland. Each child will receive a stuffed toy or book to take home. In addition, you can see the various toppings that were available: strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup. In front of those is a basket of hand wipes. Behind them are pitchers of beverages. Around the other side you will be able to see all of the cupcakes and cookies that were put out as well. They were those miniature kind of cupcakes. It's quite certain that many dinnertime appetites were spoiled for a great cause on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Kensington, Maryland.
