Surprise Family Reunion in Hawaii

In early April, I decided to surprise my second cousins by showing up unannounced in Hawaii.

BACK STORY:
My second cousins moved to the mainland before I was born (in Hawaii). I have no memory of any prior get-togethers we may have had in the previous 30 years, so this truly felt like a first meetup.

I already had a flight to Hawaii for the following week and simply changed my booking to coincide with their trip.

I then found out it was tough to get everyone in one place at the same time, so I needed the help of my oldest second cousin (Steven).

We pulled the surprise at Punchbowl National Cemetery, where their late mother (my Aunt Dorothy) now rests. Their father, shown in the video, had served in the Air Force. I gave them time to pay their respects first. Steven had the camera for the reunion scene.

NOTE: I came back with my parents a few days later to pay my proper respects to my late Aunt Dorothy. We visit her grave and my grandfather's resting place at Punchbowl every year.
