LEIMERT PARK - A vehicle was traveling west on King and veered off of the road and crashed into a tree. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and eventually extricated by LAFD. The driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. It is not known at this time what caused the driver to lose control. One witness stated the driver may have been trying to quickly switch lanes to turn on Leimert. It is not known if drugs or alcohol was a factor in this incident.
