Oct 25, 2018. The owner loved this 13-year-old cat very much. She consulted 2 vets regarding two mammary tumours. Vet 1 referred her to a big practice with ultrasound, X-rays etc. But she went to Vet 2 who took a blood test which was said to be normal. The lower platelet count was attributed to the cat being nervous during blood collection. Examination showed two mammary tumours. Surgery was advised with consent that the low platelet count could be risky for surgery.
