Channel: Eyes on the Sky · 2011 · Science & Technology
A monthly astronomy program discussing what most everyone can see in the night sky for September 2011 (N. Hemisphere). Focus is largely on how to find Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn along with several Moon/planet conjunctions in the night sky during September 2011. Also discussed: A superb conjunction of Mars and the Beehive cluster very late in the month. Some times and distances are specific to the Chicago area, but most phenomena can still be seen within the contiguous United States with appropriate adjustments for time zone and latitude.
