A monthly astronomy program discussing what's changed in the sky for July 2011. Highlights include how to find Saturn and Mercury in the evening sky, Mars and Jupiter in the morning sky, info on locating Uranus and Neptune with binoculars, plus the Summer Triangle and a few constellations and deep sky objects that can be found in that region of the night sky. Also discussed: The proximity of Saturn and Porrima (or Gamma Virginis), and several conjenctions of the Moon with several planets. Some times and distances are specific to the Chicago area, but most phenomena can still be seen within the contiguous United States with appropriate adjustments for time zone and latitude.
