Zoletil IM and isoflurane gas anaesthesia. The hamster is given less than 5 seconds of isoflurane gas. Great care must be taken in not over-dosing with the gas in the container, as the hamster will die. It is extremely difficult to fully anaesthesized the hamster as a slight overdose will result in death. The right armpit hardened abscess is removed by electrosurgery. Videoed by Intern Clara Chua.
