Astoria Oregon 06/11/12 Sea Lion Defense Brigade. Sea Lions deserve to eat fish they always have and always will. Sea Lions and salmon are being scape goated for human greed and both need protection from harm for a healthy recovery. They have both been very close to near extinction, but gill nett s are permitted-- still on the Columbia river. Sea Lions have been on the Columbia river for thousands of years but along with the salmon they both need continued vigilance when it comes to their protection because one will not survive with out the other. Nor will humans survive without healthy rivers and oceans all of our lives depend on a healthy ecology-- not private profits.
