GLEN IVY - On Tuesday night December 13th Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire, the City of Corona Fire Department along with the California Highway Patrol and AMR responded to a solo vehicle roll over accident in the unincorporated area of Corona. According to Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire incident log, Firefighters responded reports of an over turned vehicle in the area of Indian Truck Trail and Towhee Lane around 8:53pm. Firefighters arrived on scene and located an overturned vehicle to the rear of Deleo Regional Sports Park with a total of two patients. Per Battalion Chief Bill Lawe with Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire, one patient, a minor, was trapped and had to be extricated and flown to an area hospital by Mercy Air with major injuries. Due to the location and terrain, it took Firefighters just under 45 minutes to extricate the trapped minor. The second patient was taken by ground ambulance to an area hospital also with serious injuries. A passerby who was flagged down regarding the accident said three very young looking kids were involved in the accident. One was pinned under the vehicle and another had a large cut on his leg. The third appeared uninjured. The cause of the accident is under investigation. No further details were immediately available as Officers with the California Highway Patrol, Riverside Station, were unwilling to provide any details.
