Cleaning a dryer vent and dryer vent duct work that is clogged or full of lint will cut down on the amount of time that your clothes dryer runs. A clothes dryer must be able to exhaust the warm air. There are a few methods on how to clean your clothes dryer vent yourself. When a dryer vent tubing starts to become clogged, it takes longer to dry a load of clothing. If the dryer exhaust system becomes extremely full of lint, the dryer can overheat and blow a thermal fuse. The lint built up in a dryer is very flammable.
