Here are members of the Damascus Theatre Company in the 2009 Celebrate Damascus parade.  Behind the banner is a Mazda Miata.  Followed by a woman dressed as a beauty queen (?) who is sitting on what looks like a cake with a large candle on it.  This is probably a character from one of the productions being put on this year.  On the side of the float it mentions the upcoming 25th Anniversary of the Company, which was founded in 1985.  Performances are held in the Damascus Performing Arts Center.
