Another oldie, I've created the character and animated it in 3D in the year of 2000 for a restaurant ("Shrimps' Republic") TV ad here in Brazil. For the 3D rendering I've used Lightwave 3D, this time with standard bones and even IK which helped a lot to pose and animate the arms. This funny commercial got a very positive reception, and the animation itself was quite interesting and ground-breaking considering not even on our national television we had talking 3D characters yet. The main curiosity here is that I had just one week to get the whole animation, lipsync, comp and video-editing done (one-man show?!?), and just the rendering took about a full day. Those were the (tiresome) days :)
