Day 8 of 12 Days of Christmas Crafts with 3and3quarters Step-by-Step Instructions... Doggie Elf Collar You will need... * Red Felt * Green Felt * Metal Bells * 18mm Snap fastener * Pins * Fabric Scissors * Sewing machine * Needle & thread Step 1: Start by cutting two pieces of green and one piece of red from each felt. Measurements: From the green felt cut one piece at 4cmx50cm and another at 10cmx30cm. From the red felt cut one piece at 10cmx30cm. These measurements are for a small dog; Adjust measurements to suit the size of your own pet. Step 2: Set aside the longer green collar piece and roughly cut 6 triangles from the two other felt pieces. Step 3: Overlap the green triangles at the centre of the collar piece, placing the red triangles on top. Fold over the collar piece and pin all triangles into place. Step 4: Sew down each end as well as along the edge where the triangles are. Ensure you catch the collar piece on the bottom. Step 5: Hand stitch a bell to each of the red triangle points with matching thread. Step 6: With matching thread, sew one side of the snap fastener to the end of the collar. Sew the other side of the snap fastener to the opposite end of the collar but on the reverse side. Step 7: It's now ready for your doggie to wear! My Social Networks...
