Roll out of new education curriculum and free secondary education

And the new year that we are celebrating comes with its set of changes, such as new chapters in the Education system. 

From tomorrow the gradual phasing out of the 8-4-4 system of education to be replaced by the 2-6-3-3 system begins. 8-4-4 has been discredited for being examination-centered. 

Free Secondary Education is another programme that starts this week as Form one students report to their various schools from Thursday. Our Education reporter Sharon Barang'a with more on the changes in the education sector in the year 2018.
