Sudan, U.S. agree to launch second phase of talks

Khartoum and Washington have agreed to launch a second phase of talks. In October 2017, the U.S. Administration permanently lifted 20-year-old economic sanctions against Sudan, citing positive actions on humanitarian access and counter-terrorism. The dialogue is meant to guarantee justice to victims of terrorist violence.
