Kapustin Suite in the Old Style (I. III. V.) in Jerusalem/Betlehem

A short version of Kapustin's Bach-like Suite in the Old Style i played in Israel and Palestine. I'm showing two performances of the Allemande here, skip one if you wish. This was part of a flute and piano program i played with duo partner on a "tour" through the West Bank. I'll upload some more pieces with flute soon! Kapustin - Suite in the Old Style Op. 28 I. Allemande (0:03 Betlehem, 2:23 Jerusalem) (II. Gavotte 1 & 2) III. Sarabande (4:47) (IV. Bourrée 1 & 2) V. Gigue (8:42) You'll see that I included the first movement, Allemande, twice, first in Betlehem's music school and then in Jerusalem in the Ascension Church on the olive mountain. You can skip one of them. I just liked my performances in the church much more, and i thought it might be interesting to compare the two especially regarding acoustics. Of course the church acoustics have a very high amount of reverb, making it challenging to play and to listen to, some tones, side melodies and accompaniment are hard to hear. Still, especially in the intimate III. movement (Sarabande), i like the sound very much, and the Betlehem piano is.. i don't know, a little dry? Not my favourite piano. Comparing the Allemande to my old recording that you can still see on my channel, i evidently played slower (teachers!), and my rhythm got a lot more solid, and i corrected one or two misreadings.
