Jose fights on- but for how long ? " Only Jose, only United ! When Alexis Sanchez headed home a dramatic 90th minute winner ,the roof almost lifted off at Old Trafford as his side completed a stunning comeback against plucky Newcastle. But even this memorable last 45 minutes cannot paper over the cracks ;defensively United still remain all at sea and finished up with a back three of Nemanja Matic,Chris Smalling and Paul Pogba as they fought to extricate themselves from the disastrous opening to a game they just had to win. Within ten minutes they were two goals down as the Geordies capitalised on another sleepy opening by the hosts to set the alarm bells ringing. Perez sent Kenedy through to smash home and within minutes ,the lead was doubled as Bailly and Young were unable close down Muto who beat De Gea with ease. Just 16 minutes had passed when Mourinho hauled off the woeful Bailly for Juan Mata, but things initially failed to improve with Marcus Rashford heading wide and De Gea reacting superbly to deny the visitors what would surely been a killer third. Fellaini replaced McTominay at the break as United shuffled the pack and suddenly there was a new purpose to their approach with chances falling to Rashford and Martial and Newcastle keeper Dubravka forced into action as the pressure mounted. Sanchez joined the battle and eventually United struck with a superb Juan Mata free kick and then equalised with Martial striking home from close range. The amazing fightback was complete with Sanchez's last gasp winner and it may well have bought the manager a bit more time despite reports that the axe was about to fall. With Chelsea next up after the international break, how ironic if Mourinho's tenure at the Theatre of Dreams ends at his old stomping ground,Stamford Bridge.
