We continue on our focus on labour and this time we shift focus to the tea sector. Known to be one of Kenya's biggest foreign exchange earners, the sector has faced paralysis a few times in the last two years, as workers went on strike demanding a 30% pay hike. These challenges may look like small matters but the bigger picture is that the longer they persist, the higher the risk of losing competitiveness in the global tea arena. From Kericho, here is Kevin Mutai with this week's Food Friday.
