2014 has been a great year for travel photography. In fact, it was so good that in making this list of my favourite travel photos of 2014 I forgot to include images from Iceland which were easily some of my favourites.
It has also been a good year for me personally. It has only been since July of 2014 that I decided to stop doing both travel writing and photography, and focus most of my energy on travel photography. The results show that people are interested. My travel photography blog traffic has grown by about 40% this year since the shift. Of course, this channel is booming as well. In just 5 months, I've managed 200,000 views and 2,500 subscribers. I'm so excited by that, and it encourages me to keep pushing.
I want to thank all of you for your awesome support throughout 2014, and beyond.
I wish all of you the best in the New Year. I also wish you some amazing travel photos sprung from your own camera.
Happy New Year, Mother photographers!
