DigInfo: http://movie.diginfo.tv - Sorting, extracting, or analyzing objects at a cellular level is a delicate operation where the use of more traditional methods, like pipettes and microscopes, may not be as effective. Tohoku University's Department of Bioengineering and Robotics have stepped up with their micro TAS. A micro-magnetic tool chip made of silicon polymer and magnetic particles which can sort, extract, or analyze cells through remote magnetic control. In the future the University is considering using this technology to make new DNA-related discoveries.
