Auditor General confirms Afya house scandal; says health ministry unable to account for Ksh. 8bn

The Auditor General has confirmed that up to 8 Billion shillings allocated to the ministry of health in the financial year 2015/2016 cannot be accounted for. In 2016, NTV reported that top government officials and their relatives were involved in business enterprises with the ministry that may have caused the taxpayers billions of shillings without real value. In a final report posted on the office of the auditor generals website, the pilferage has been confirmed.
