This piece is very charming to me. I love the jazzy, rhythmical bass lines combined with an introspective, melancholy melody. I've been sight-reading this piece for years because it's so much fun, and now i tried polishing it a little bit to be able to record it and show it to others. I'm still half sight-reading and i could learn the piece better, but i'm just having too much fun playing it just like that. Take a look at the Final Fantasy 11 Piano Collections, it has some really good music, especially for background music. This piece is a special arrangement of music from a video game, Final Fantasy 11, which is a japanese online role playing game. Years ago, i basically rekindled my love for music and piano through japanese video game music. Japanese people simply care about their work, whether it's music for a video game or a cartoon for children, they take their audience seriously and try to create something beautiful no matter how "serious" their product. I'm trying to record this again, because after actually practicing a bit to smoothen some passages for the recording, i think i can now do better.
