Here is a list of the main soloists, to avoid confusion: Arnoldo - Roberto Frontali, Carlo - Bruce Ford, Estrella - Jennifer Larmore. 7. 0:00 - 6:05. "Del ciel cura, quest'alloro", Estrella's cavatina, set apart from the previous scene both by a more flowing melody and another quote of the prelude, as the girl announces her happiness at seeing her betrothed. Just like in Carlo's cavatina, the cavatina is finished with an ecstatic cabaletta, brilliantly utilizing the harp in the bass line, shortened a bit, but not losing its' momentum. A small transitional scene leads straight into the stretta. 8. 6:05 - to the end. "Se voci di gloria", the final stretta, set to a military theme, almost a call-to-arms, quickly growing in size with the addition of each new element: what started as an arioso for Carlo, soon becomes a full concentrato. Enjoy :)!
