Tropical Storm Gaemi [Marce] is intensifying as it stalls off the western Philippine coast. The storm isn't close enough to cause much wind damage, and rainfall isn't expected to be heavy in the area. Gaemi will proceed westward and will probably intensify to become a typhoon, before making a likely landfall in Vietnam as a strong tropical storm or typhoon. One can't rule out further intensification of the storm whilst it makes the crossing of the South China Sea, and so central Vietnam should watch this storm closely.
