After having a long conversation about this with some folks on facebook, it became obvious that there was a lot to be said about self-harm, which can be coupled with depression in many cases. While its a very serious condition, in recent times its become a bit more of a mockery point, and something that's been used by people to try to get their way. It seems silly or downright wrong, but its something that our culture has manifested in the past 10-15 years, and its NEEDS to stop.
