Cruise ship with 642 passengers docks in Mombasa

A luxury cruise ship, MS Nautica has docked at the port city of Mombasa with 642 passengers and 394 crew from Marshall Islands.


The ship that arrived today had tourists from Australia and the United States of America among other countries. Tourism CS Najib Balala who was on hand to welcome the tourists, said 420 passengers are scheduled to visit different National parks around the region. According to Balala, the arrival of MS Nautica is a plus for the country, as the government continues to make deliberate efforts to grow cruise ship tourism. The CS has called for more partnerships with travel agents specialising in cruise travel, to explore ways to ensure cruise tourists, spend more time in the country.
