I have a few go-to regions that I think very rarely disappoint. One of those is New Zealand for their Sauvignon Blanc's. They're clean, fresh, grassy. Malbec's from Argentina, they're plummy, they're juicy, they're fruity. You can generally find, on most wine lists, a great New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, a delicious plummy, fruity Malbec from Argentina, for anywhere in the high twenties to low forty price range.
