The foundation, for more than a decade, has been hosting basketball tournaments with the aim of developing the sport in the country as well as the players. The foundation under the leadership of Roscoe Rhys and Rupert Brown has for years, been trying put forward a semi-pro basketball team to join the National Elite Basketball League. Rhys initially got the go-ahead from the league, but later was told that it would not be possible for several reasons, which they find unjust. News Five’s Hipolito Novelo has the story.
