The new posthumous Michael Jackson album was released today. Its a collection of vocal tracks never put to music, or completed by Michael prior to his tragic and sudden death one year ago. The compilation was purchased by Sony, and producers came in to fill the gaps with music. The result, at least for this, the first of up to 10 releases, is surprisingly very strong. If this were an album that a living Michael Jackson would've released, it would've placed him back on track after the commercial failure that was Invisible. Michael is strong in the correct places, and is short enough that any flaws are so minor, it doesn't discourage the flow of the record as a whole. If this is what we have to look forward to from the posthumous Michael Jackson collection, count me in, because I'm excited.
