Russia and China veto proposal for new Syria sanction

China and Russia have vetoed a Western-backed UN resolution that would have imposed sanctions on parties allegedly involved in chemical weapon attacks in the war-ravaged country. If adopted, the draft resolution would have imposed an asset freeze and travel bans on individuals and entities associated with the Syrian government. It would also have banned supply of helicopters to the Syrian government. Our UN correspondent Liling Tan has this report.
